How to Link Your PayPal Holdings Inc Account to Facebook, Inc.

Your PayPal Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:PYPL) account may now be linked to your Facebook, Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) page.

PayPalThe two companies have partnered up to offer the mobile payment service’s offerings on the social media site in an easy and convenient manner, according to a blog post on PayPal’s page.

Facebook already allows Payments via Messenger which is a way of sending money to your friends and family through the chatting app. However, this new feature makes it easier for those who already have a PayPal account.

The companies pledge “to help make mobile commerce smarter, simpler and more secure for consumers as well as merchants,” through the partnership. Additionally, you will get notifications on Messenger once you make or receive a payment.

The details of the integration between the two companies have yet to be announced, but they will be released soon. It is expected for this union to be simple and smooth, and Messenger will send you receipts once you complete a payment.

PayPal chief operating officer Bill Ready noted how other financial services such as Venmo can be complicated, especially if you’re not an expert in that ecosystem. The two companies are looking to make transactions simpler with the move.

There are more than 192 million people around the world with PayPal accounts.

PYPL shares slipped 1.6% Tuesday, while FB stock experienced a 0.7% decline.
