The stock market finally cooled off last week after a couple weeks of post-Trump jubilation. This morning, however, stocks look sprightly — and gold looks weak — as the markets shake off Italy’s referendum vote, in which Prime Minister Matteo Renzi was soundly beaten.

3 Stocks to Watch on Monday: Apple Inc. (AAPL), GoPro Inc (GPRO) and Sony Corp (ADR) (SNE)As we head into a new trading week, tech stocks — including Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL), GoPro Inc (NASDAQ:GPRO) and Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) — are coming off some fresh headlines.

Here’s what investors should be watching as we head into Monday:

Apple Inc. (AAPL)

Apple is in a good position heading into the holidays due to its most valuable asset.

The company’s recently released iPhone 7 is expected to sell especially well in the upcoming holiday period. A recent survey revealed that the smartphone is among the most wanted gifts for Christmas and the gift-giving season.

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) and AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) continue to make the iPhone a priority. The pair have already released several plans for the iPhone 7, including the 32GB, 128GB and 256 GB versions.

The iPhone 7 was predicted by analysts to generate a lukewarm response from the public because it offered few substantial upgrades from its predecessor, but so far, the Street has been more pleasantly surprised than not.

AAPL shares are up a couple percent since the iPhone 7’s release in early September.

GoPro Inc (GPRO)

Action camera maker GPRO is making a little noise with the weekend release of a new product.

The company is known for its selection of handy cameras that you can attach to your body to film everything ahead of you. Now, GPRO is hoping to bolster sales with a tool meant to help you with this.

GoPro’s new tool is a $299 extension of its cameras that serves as a stabilizing force in the form of a handheld bar that you can attach to its products so users can more easily take better pictures.

The product — the GoPro Karma Grip — works with the Hero4 and Hero5, and will be compatible with the Hero5 Session in Q2 2017.

GPRO is looking for anything to turn around its fortunes, as shares are off 13% over the past month and nearly 90% from their 2014 peak, reached shortly after its IPO.

Sony Corp (ADR) (SNE)

Sony had big news this weekend in the form of the PlayStation Experience.

Saturday and Sunday were marked by a series of announcements by the company that have video game fans buzzing over what is coming in the next few months.

A number of game trailers were unveiled, including teasers for The Last of Us 2 and the release of a Resident Evil 7 demo.

Sony also revealed that Street Fighter 5 will have a new character, Lara Croft Go will be released for PS4 and PS Vita devices and Ni No Kuni 2 will be released next year for PS4 gamers.

SNE, which is in a multimonth downtrend, still is up 14% year-to-date. The company is hoping its VR offerings will bolster PlayStation sales over the holiday.
