Forbes has launched its yearly richest people in the world ranking.
The 2015 edition of the list includes 50 billionaires who are worth a combined $7.05 trillion. The richest 500 have $4.7 trillion of that.
The Forbes list includes plenty of the usual suspects such as Warren Buffett. We have highlighted the top 10 and their estimated net worth.

Richest People in the World #10: Lilliane Bettencourt & family
The L’Oreal lady is worth approximately $40.1 billion.
Lilliane Bettencourt and family kick off the Forbes list thanks to their fortune with beauty products and cosmetics. The company was founded by her father in 1907.
Bettencourt continues to rake up the billions in her 90s.
Richest People in the World #9: Jim Walton
Walmart (WMT) Jim Walton is worth $40.6 billion.
He’s the son of founder Sam Walton and he’s a board member of the company. Walmart’s 2014 revenue amounted to $473 billion across the globe in more than 11,000 stores.
The 67-year-old is married with four children.
Richest People in the World #8: Christy Walton & family
Another Walmart darling makes the list with Christy Walton.
The 60-year-old is worth about $41.7 billion, making her the wealthiest woman in the world. She married into the Walton family and inherited part of their wealth.
She is the board member of a number of philanthropies, including The San Diego Natural History Museum.
Richest People in the World #6: David Koch
The Koch Industries executive vice president is joint #6.
David Koch‘s net worth is an estimated $42.9 billion. The company made more than $5 billion in acquisitions in 2014, including Flint Group for $3 billion.
74-year-old Koch is married and lives in New York.
Richest People in the World #6: Charles Koch
Older brother Charles also comes in at #6.
The 79-year-old serves as the Koch Industries CEO with a net worth of $42.9 billion. The company is the second largest private one in the US.
Charles Koch has been chair of the company since 1967.
Richest People in the World #5: Larry Ellison
The Oracle (ORCL) CEO and founder is 5.
Larry Ellison is valued at $54.2 billion thanks to his leadership with the Silicon Valley company. The 70-year-old built databases for the CIA before founding Oracle in 1977.
The company’s 2014 revenues grew to $38.3 billion.
Richest People in the World #4: Amancio Ortega
Amancio Ortega is the 4th richest man in the world.
The Zara co-founder is worth about $64.5 billion. The 78-year-old Spaniard launched the company 40 years ago with lingerie and bathrobes.
Ortega lives in La Coruna, Spain.
Richest People in the World #3: Warren Buffett
Warren Buffett is #3 on the list.
The 84-year-old investor is worth about $71.7 billion thanks. Berkshire Hathaway — the most expensive of any public US company — has been his life’s work, helping him climb up Forbes‘ ranking this year.
The holding company’s Class A stock surpassed the $200,000-a-share mark for the first time in August 2014.
Richest People in the World #2: Carlos Slim Helu & family
Carlos Slim Helu and his family are valued at $72.7 billion.
Coming in at #2, the America Movil honorary chairman and his children own 62% of the company. Slim took real estate company Inmeubles Carso private last year.
He’s also the New York Times‘ largest shareholder with a 17% stake.
Richest People in the World #1: Bill Gates
Microsoft (MSFT) co-founder Bill Gates is the richest person in the world.
Valued at $79.2 billion, the former CEO regained the title after Slim Helu sat on the throne for four consecutive years. Gates has been selling his Microsoft shares recently.
He’s also done plenty of philanthropy work with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, donating about $30 billion so far.
