Microsoft says that it will offer several different upgrade options for users wanting to move to Windows 10. Included in these offers are some targeted towards users that are running pirated versions of previous Windows operating systems. This is a backtrack from previous comments from the company, reports The Verge.

The exact details of the Windows 10 upgrade for pirates aren’t known. However, it’s likely that Microsoft will shed more light on the subject before the product’s launch, which is scheduled for this summer. Owners of legal copies of Windows 7 or 8.1 can still upgrade to Windows 10 for free, The Verge notes.

Microsoft also recently announced that devices running Windows 10 will be able to run apps from Google Inc’s (NASDAQ:GOOG,NASDAQ:GOOGL) Android and Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iOS. The company is providing developers with the tools to easily convert their apps to the Windows 10 format.
