Amazon.com, Inc. Hiring 120,000 Workers for 2016 Holiday Season

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) is hiring 120,000 employees to work during the holiday season this year.

 Amazon Hiring,  AMZNAmazon hiring this year includes seasonal workers for its fulfillment centers, sortation centers and customer service sites. The online retailer notes that it had 14,000 seasonal employees that were hired in 2015 that went on to become regular full-time workers.

Amazon hiring may also have its benefits. The company offers competitive wages, healthcare, 401(k) and other bonuses to full-time employees. It also claims that an average of 90% of employees at its locations throughout the year are full-time.

Amazon isn’t the only company looking to add workers for the busy holiday season. United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE:UPS) is hiring 95,000 employees to help with deliveries this year. Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT) is seeking the aid of 70,000 employees for the holidays.

Kohl’s Corporation (NYSE:KSS) is also searching for seasonal employees with a goal of 69,000J C Penney Company Inc (NYSE:JCP) wants to bring in an extra 40,000 employees for the holiday season. Macy’s Inc (NYSE:M) is planning to bring in an extra 83,000 seasonal workers for the year.

AMZN stock was down 1% as of Thursday morning.
