Technical analysis scrutinizes equities based on past measurements like asset price and trading volume, which give a view of past performance and stock trends. The technical analysis method does not assign value to a given equity; rather it simply reviews charts and statistical measurement of historical market activity in order to best predict future moves.
Investors should pay close attention to an equity’s direction, speed and distance throughout a technical analysis review. Is the price traveling in an upward or downward direction? What speed is the price moving at? Lastly, what distance will the price travel in a given direction?
