Pizza Hut (HSY) and Hershey’s (HSY) have partnered up to add a new dessert to the pizza joint’s menu.
The restaurant took a page out of Papa John’s (PZZA) menu and created a product that resembles the popular Mega Chocolate Chip Cookie. Pizza Hut’s new dessert is also a large chocolate chip cookie cut into eight triangular slices.
Pizza Hut made the movie after conducting a survey of 1,000 pizza eaters and 70% said they want dessert after eating pizza. Cookies topped the list of preferred dessert items among pizza lovers.
The cookie pie is one of two Hershey’s dessert items you can get in Pizza Hut along with the Chocolate Dunkers. The chain said that it plans on adding more Hershey-branded dessert items in the near future.
YUM stock is up about 1% Monday afternoon. HSY stock is down about 1.85% and PZZA stock is down over 1%.
